Mental Health Concerns
Last night, in a chat with my friend in Whitchurch, Bristol, Clara asked me why I stopped writing?
There are several reasons, not all of them I have spoken about.
The most obvious is I didn't consider it worth my time, to spend hours writing a story, I knew nobody wished to read.
The lack of money from sales was a factor, though to a lesser extent than people imagine, I knew it wouldn't pay me as a writer, I only wished for my works to be read.
The fact that lesser writer I knew in the USA, got contracts didn't bother me, it annoyed them that it didn't bother me, as several used to harrass me online for months.
A reason I rarely mention is I had mental health issues writing some of the more weird stories. While writing some of the stories, I could feel myself being drawn into an area I wished not to enter.
If you recall the film Silent Hill, you will remember how two people in the same city saw two different worlds, while standing only metres away from each other, yet they were out of touch. That was the world my mind was entring, I was so concerned, I booked a brain scan
