Jane Fonda

 Sean Flynn

                                              Hollywood soon Forgets

I disagree with the popular idea that Sean Flynn, the son of Errol Flynn, was captured in Vietnam, why?

My theory for the dissapearance is the two men Sean, and Dana Stone, had an accident in the jungle, their bodies were eaten by animals, and the motorcycle parts were used in vehicles.

If he was captured the Vietnamese would have put him, and Dana Stone on  in a show trial, though his father was passed his prime as a well-known actor in Hollywood, the name Errol Flynn would still have been a huge publicity draw for the Vietnamese government of the time; plus the capture of US personnel close to the Loas and Cambodia border, at a time when they were not "supposed" to be there would have caused the USA a great commotion in the world of politics.

Consider how the war made Jane Fonda. Before she became known as "Hanoi Jane," she was a bit part actress known for Barefoot in the Park, and Barberella. After her furore went down, she became an Oscar nominated actress, and is known now for Grace & Frankie.

The same thing happened to Ingrid Bergman, when she married Roberto Rossolini, she was called the Root of Evil on the House of Senate floor, and Hollywood shunned her, she returned five years later to win the Best Actress Oscar.
