I got the idea for the short story, What Happened There? - from a visit to see a friend in King's Lynn, Norfolk, many years ago. Our friendship, which lasted 14 years was the longest outisde my marriage. The friendship answers the question can a man and a woman be long-time friends without sex, in this case, yes.

Of all my stories, this is the only one I tried to plan, and I didn't like the original, so I wrote this version.
