Why haven't I added to my eBook content on Draft2Digital?

It is a Scam

From the opening of Smashwords, I had my suspicions about the site.

My suspicions centred on how one site could make its owner a multi-millionaire so quickly in competition with Amazon?

It didn't take long before my suspicions were confirmed by reports from other writers.

The site may sell your work, but they keep the fees.

When I first used Draft2Digital it was a reputable sales platform, in contrast to Amazon I was selling eBooks there.

Then things changed, they began using a lending library system which means readers pay a library to take books out, the library pays the distributor, but unless you get masses of sales - the number is unknown - a writer sees nothing.

Two examples of this happened to me; on two occasions I was asked did I plan to write a sequel for a ghost story? I replied, what is the point in writing a sequel for a story, which as far as I could tell had not sold?

Also, I found a new issue with Barnes & Noble which was my main sales platform, not that it concerns me now as I am not writing

Could I get back in the writing mood?

 I have many stories I could write

As I am changing from Draft2Digital to Barnes & Noble, this will give me the opportunity to edit some of the older eBooks I have for sale, such as my award-winner - Chronicles of Mark Johnson - which needs some editing.

I have no idea, or plan for what lies ahead, with fortitude, I hope to

 re-start my journey as a writer.

Today, I took the step to stop putting my eBooks on Draft2Digital.

I have several reasons for this action, mainly, as they use a Lending Library system, I rarely see royalties for my eBook sales. They are notorious for withholding payments to writers, and as I rarely earn more than $10.00 a year; I won't lose anything by creating a page on Barnes & Noble.

B&N are the main source (90%) of my my eBook sales, so it makes sense to use them as my sales front.

Another reason for the change is I made an error when adding this book to Draft"Digital, and it won't sell on the site.

Over the years I have been writing, I have used several sites for my eBook sales, only Barnes & Noble have had any impact. Next year, I hope to add more of my work to the site.

From now on, I am not using Draft2Digital as the source of my eBook sales; for years I had my doubts about the site. Despite their spread, my sales never increased, I was fortunate to be paid every other year.

The only site which sold my eBooks is Barnes & Noble.

Over the years, Barnes & Noble have been my main sales channel on Draft2Digital. I would estimate about 8%% of my eBook sales are from there.

I earned over $440 dollars from B&N, while that may appear good for an Indie Writer, I have been on the site for almost 12 years, which brings the sales to less than $4.00 per annum.
