At the time of her death, Carole Landis was a rising star, with several marriages to her name. Her last fling was with Rex Harison, who she "claimed" had promised to marry her, though he was happily married at the time. 

At the time of her daeth when she was 24, she'd had four marriages. While the reason she comitted suicide could be questioned, and Rex's refusual to marry her can be questioned, if he agreed. His actions after he heard the news are questionable, at the least. On hearing of her death, he spent hours cleaning the rooms, before phoning the police

On this day, in 1948, actress Carole Landis took her own life. The reason was actor Rex Harrison refused to leave his wife, Lilli Palmer, for her.

What Rex did after being told of her death was wrong, tampering with evidence is WRONG, however, would any man willing marry a lady who had FOUR marriages, none lasting more than two years who claimed he was the "love of her life"
