 I am no longer a writer

Unofficially, I gave up writing several months ago; officially I gave up last month.

With no drive, or motivation to write, I shall restart my  PC Gaming, reading, and watching DVDs; I have a large selection of Hindi DVDs to watch, and too many books to count. I will not be writing, but I won't be bored either, and when Spring arrives, I will have gardening to do.

                                            Frostpunk and Cities Skylines

When I am not posting to the blog, I am usually playing a game on my PC, or watching a film from India on YouTube.

One of fave games is Frostpunk. I have slow reactions, and I am not a fan of first-person games in general; the exception being Thief which I need to get in the mood for playing.

Once I can sort my finances out in the New Year, I may buy Frostpunk 2.

For a long time I was a fan of the Tropico series, I don't like Tropico 5. Another game I wish to play is Cities Skylines, again a city building game. I got into these type of games years before I had a PC, as I played the Airport series on PlayStation.

I rarely play racing games; I found it impossible to get even to third position against pc generated racers. Another feature I dislike is playing games were they character are programmed to enact a series of events, and your character has no idea what to do.

Frostpunk and Cities Skylines

Yesterday, I was able to clear enough space on my computer to permit me to play two games I had wanted to play for a long time, Frostpunk, and Cities Skylines.

I prefer these slower paced games to the fast moving First Person Shooter games, as my reaction time is slow. One First Person games I am playing is Thief.

I rarely play racing games, I found it almost impossible to beat a game were the computer has control of the racers, I did do it once, or twice, that was because I used an unorthodox tactic I had seen used in F1 years ago by John Watson in Monaco.

Computer racers guided by the PC always take the shortest route, i Monaco there is a sharp left bend, which the programmed racers slowed to a crawl to take; I dropped out of line, and shot passed the line of cars trailing the leader.

Now my "friend" on my Google chat realises I cannot send her money, I doubt she'll contact me again. I am expecting the same from a contact on Facebook who asked me for some money.

I will miss the chats, but not the constant requests to send money I don't have to spare.

This change will give me time to play some of the computer games I bought years ago; I would use the time to do some writing, but my eBook selection isn't selling.

I have lots of ideas for stories, what is the point in writing them, if nobody is going to read them?
