Being a Ghostwriter

 Paid to write

The name does not matter to me

For several weeks, I earned a reasonable fee being a ghostwriter on the UpWork site.

A question I was asked many times was why write a story, and let someone else claim the credit?

In a simplistic reply, I used to say,"I got paid to write a story; whose name is on the story is not my bother. I was paid to write the story, and I did. If the story succeeds, and I get more work that is a bonus for me. If it flops I still got paid to write."

I often got nice comments posted on my profile about doing more than the client expected, and still maintained a high quality of work.

Google Adsense

 Advertising online

It isn't worth the hassle

Tonight, I consideed using Google Adsense to get some extra cash to pay our bills, but like be Verifired on Twitter, it is NOT worth the hassle.
To be paid, my blog posts would requiree over 1,000 clicks, and the blog barely reaches that in a month, so far.
I didn't go into the payments, as Twitter doesn't pay enough fot a coffee a month.

Grok

Being verified to blog on Twitter

Paid to write
I used to have a post on my Twitter page asking me to use Grok. This is an updated edition of being verified, and from reading reports online, it is as useless as its predecessor.
On Twitter, I see many accounts marked as Verified, this means the writer is paid to blog.

Last month, I checked the rates, they are worse than nothing; I am not joking, for each post that gets over 1,0000 readers you receive the HUGE (sarcasm) sum of five cents, why bother paying?

I came across this tactic years ago, while I was trying to gain readers for my short stories; I applied to various magazines - 90% didn't reply - those that replied were more interested in getting me to promote the magazine, or promote other writers already published than show my writing. For each hundred subscribers I added, I would have been paid £1.00, what is the point of me flogging myself for nothing?
