Sixteen years ago, I started my first blog called Here I am at the edge, thinking I may be published as an author one day.

I kept being told by colleagues in the writing community, "it could take ten years to get recognition," so I waited, and waited, and waited; it is now 16 years, and I long ago stopped considering being given a contract to write
