When my wife, Linda, died in Janurary of 2025, I thought at 68, I would not have another romance.

This was not only because of my age, I never considered myself attractive to the ladies. I was wrong on both counts.

Within days of putting my profile on a mature dating app, a lady called Svitlana asked to meet me. She lives in Didcot, Oxfordshire, not close to where I live in Bristol, but not too far to be out of reach.

We had a little upset last week, but our friendship is going well now.
