This morning, I have a heavy headache, it could either be concussion, or the pain massing from my broken nose from the accident I had last Friday on my return from Whitchurch, Bristol, where I  used to do my shopping.

In future I will do my shopping at Asda in Bedminster, this will enable me to have lunch in the Latino Street Bites cafe, in Redcliffe.

The irony is my friend, Svitlana, who lives in Didcot, Oxfordshire, says she like the new look.

I was not in favour of cosmetic surgery, but I am told it will help my breathing, which has been restricted since I broke it, slightly, in 1968

Last night, I reported the person trying to scam me to WhatsApp, this time I won't unblock them. For the last five weeks, it has been the same story, "I only need £20, then your money will be sent, I promise."

I thought it was a scam the first time they asked, I sent a loan for £3,000, over a period of 8 months to a lady in Pennsylvania, I was told she lived in my area of Bristol, UK. What roused my suspicions, other than the person saying the original scammer was her sister, is she kept saying she'd send £15,000.

Each week it was the ame request, until last week, then she upped the request to £30. I had already decide, not to send any more, then on Friday, I was so tired of their incessant requests I tripped on the kerb, and ende up in hospital with a broken nose, a gashed knee which is so sore I cannot rest my lightweight laptop on, and a badly sprained wrist that is so weak I cannot lift my laptop.

I got The Thin Man series for my late wife, but she passed away before she had the opportunity to enjoy any of the fims.

I won't deny, I wasn't fully interested in the series at first, but after two films, I was hooked on the series. The pairing of William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles is ideal. The young boy in the image is a young Dean Stockwell, who played Nick Jnr.

A word to the wise, as many viewers of the series reported, Asta, the dog IS a scene-stealer, he doesn't do as much as Lassie, but he steals each scene, in the most delightful way.

Aslo in this film is Gloria Graeme playing a singer, as she did in the film Crossfire, featuring Robert Mitchum.

Ms. Graeme is known in Hollywood, as much for her notorious sex life, as her contribtions to film noir. She is notorious for being found in bed with her 13-year-old stepson, who she later married.

The sense of warmth I feel with Svitlana, is the same I felt with my late wife, we connect well, and easily. This is something I never felt with Clara Kent AKA Pamela Olsted.

Normally, I would not cross the line, and tell lies, but when two ladies have told me lies for several months, I can cross that line with nothing to worry about.

Last week, I was so tired from trying to get them Apple pay cards, as they said they would refund a loan, I collapsed in the street, and ended up in casualty with a disclocated wrist, a bad gash over my left eye, and a broken nose. It was at this point, I crossed the line which I refused to cross,even if years ago I could have earned money writing fake reviews.

My friend, Svitlana, may say some things which appear odd, but she is older than me, but I believe her declaration of love is genuine, while Pamela Olsted was only after my money, that is why moving on from PO was neither hard, or painful

Since Saturday morning, when I returned from hospital, I wondered when the effects of shock would hit me, they did this afternoon. I was watching a documentary on Joanna Moore on YouTube, and the next thing I knew, I woke at the end of a documentary on Jimmy Hoffa. The gap between the two events was an hour.

A person "claiming" to be the sister of scammer Pamela Olsted, asked me to trust her, and send her money, so she can repay the loan I sent PO.

From the first request, I thought it could be a scam, I have no doubt now. 

The sequence of events. 

She said she was willing to send me £15,000 to pay off the the money I am owed - why would she be willing to pay FIVE times the ammount?

After several days, I talked her down to the £3,000 I want.

She sent me a request for £20, so she could send the money, as the order was 90% clear, I did this, I thought I could take the risk for a while in the hope of getting my money. I didn't think I would, but I tried.

Two days later, she asked for another £20, saying the order had dropped to 65%, this process was repeated twice, before I said I wasn't willing to send more.

Last week, on my way back from Asda in Whitchurch, I was so tired from walking out twice a week since November, knowing I wouldn't see any money. I tripped and ended up in hospital overnight. 

After hearing about this, she "feigned" concern, then upped her request to £35.00. 

She keeps asking, but I have had enough, and refuse to send more.

She says I have to trust her, and she will send the money, I don't trust her any further than I can throw a house

I have been accused of being a player, as I am on the app, but don't reply to requests, the truth is I didn't add my profile to try to gain anything more than a view of how ladies see me, so I could finf out if they thought I was attractive, I wasn't being vain. Younger ladies tell me, older men make better lovers, as we're not as self-centred as yong men, and like to treat the lady with respect. On Friday, I planned to do some shopping in Redclffe, Bristol, then have lunch at my friend's cafe - Latino Street Bites - in Redcliffe. This didn't happen, I decided to go to Asda in Whitchurch to see if I could get a person who "claimed" to be the sister of a person who trapped me in a scam, would send the money back, not that I expected her to. Now, I don't know when I shall return to Bedminster, and my friend's cafe.

On my way back, tired, and aching, I slipped on the pavement, and ended up in Southmead Hospital having stitches. After a weekend of having my daugter drive me from Hartcliffe to Southmead, I decided I needed a treat, so this afternoon, I treated one of my other daugters to a KFC meal for two, as I thought I deserved a treat

I think the reason I didn't go into shock after my recent accident, can be out to the situation that I am used to seeing my blood, though not as much as I did on Friday,

I am grateful for having lost my teeth, my mouth injury would have been far more serious if I'd had teeth. I am not in a lot of pain, despite a massive loss of blood, most of the discomfort today is from the gash over my left eye closing, and titghtening the stitches

This weekend things came to a head for me, since November, I had been helping a lady who said she was my "friend." It turned out she was running a scam using me.

In June, after never meeting her, I cut my contact with her. A month later, a person "claiming" to be her sister said she would repay the £3,000 I am owed. From the start, I consdiered it another scam, but with so much at stake, I decided it was worth a risk.

Over the months, I walked to Hartcliffe, Bristol, to Whitchurch in all weathers to get an Apple card that worked, as they "claimed" cards from other stores were faulty.

Last week, I told the person acting as sister I needed a rest as I was worn out, but she pressed me.

On Friday, I was so tired, and aching I tripped and ended up covered in blood, from a fall on my return from Asda, Whitchurch. The outcome of the fall is I spent the night in Southmead Hospital. After feigning concerns over the injuries she caused, she added insult to injury by increasing the ammount she is asking for rose from £20 to £30. I laid the law down, from here, if I don't get my money, I am not concerned. I wish to end my contact with the two people.

During my fall, I broke my nose, and lost my favourite replica shirt as it got covered in blood. The hospital is talking about giving me a restructed nose, the choice is mine, to me, a reformed nose is not important as my nose has been broken for over 50 years

The result of my recent day out was I ended the day in Southmead Hospital, with a broken nose. The surgeon did offer to correct the twist in the nose, but with a smile I said, "No thank you, after all it's been like for 58 years, the result of an accident playing cricket."

Part of the accident was the uneven tarmac on the pavement, a part just as relevant, if not more is I was tired after walking back (again) from Whitchurch, Bristol to get an Apple gift card, in the hope of getting some of my loan refund.

Not long after I went to hospital, I sent the person asking for the card a picture of my injuries, with the message, "This is the result of getting you the Apple cards." 

If I didn't think it was another scam at the start of the offer, I am certain now. Not on;y did she ask for another card, she upped the ammount on the card.

My plan for next week

Silver Trauma is the medical term for accidents by senior citizens, doctors need to check for secondary related injuries.

After having an accident close to South Bristol Community Hospital, Hengrove, yesterday, my plans for next week are dominated by hospital visits.

On Momday, it is back to Southmead Hospital for a scan on my injured wrist, and booking an appointment for Friday at our doctor's to get the stitches removed from over my left eye. I planned to book an appointment, to have my medication updated, but I need to be careful as I may have an appoinment soon in Hengrove to get my lipoma removed

Last night, I severed ties with Pamela Olsted, and the person "claiming" to be her sister, after an accident caused by their demand for Apple gif cards, ended with me spending the night in Southmead Hospital, Bristol.

They claimed they would refund my loan, but for the first mention, i suspected it was another scam, until last night, I hoped I would get the money, now I don't care. I am putting this episode behind me, and moving on with my relationship with Svitlana, my friend in Didcot, Oxfordshire, who does care about me

This is something I used to do twice a week, now I do it once a week, usually. The other day out I take is to the Whitchurch Inn, Whitchurch. I have been to both places so regularly, I am considered a regular now.

Having watched some Harlan Coben, stories and Deadwater Fell on Netflix, I said I can write better stories. That was no idle boast, even though Harlan is a bestseller, I found his stories lacked drama.

Deadwater could have made an intersting film, but a FOUR-HOUR series, no!

David Tennant's acting was abyssmal, the plot could be told in 1 1/2 hours, the best actor was the man playing the police officer.

David was no better in Criminal UK.

It would be ironic, if I did get the opportunity to get a series on TV, for many years, one writer I used to know said she was better than me, and trached Chronicles of Mark Johnson for months online, after it earned an award. The irony is that is the book which may be the basis for the series.

For a while, I toyed with who I would wish to play the characters, at least one of the actors I considered has died in the last 15 years.

The sister of Pamela Olsted, the lady who scammed me, has just insulted me by saying she "trusts me," she TRUSTS me?

I put her in her place, I replied, "I should be the one with trust issues."

I have been honest from the start, which is more than I can say for her. Her comment came after I said "I can't guarantee I can get out tomorrow, it depends on my bad ankle," the sore ankle is the result of going out to buy her Apple gift cards, so she can send me my loan refund, something I doubt will happen

The True Path of Romance

My immediate concern is to rid myself of the lipoma on my neck, this is causing me constant pain.

The next step, literally, is to get my right ankle fit to carry some weight so I can walk with less pain that I did this month.

After this, I can concentrate on clearing my overdraft, the cause of which is a scam I was involved in with Pamela Olsted, and a lady "claiming" to be her sister. This will take several months, I was promised a loan refund, but I think that is part of the plot to keep me paying them, that comes to an end this week.

Once the operation on my neck is over, and I can walk easier, I shall arrange a meeting with my friend, Svitlana, in Didcot, hopefully in time for my birthday next month.

Two years ago, I revisted the story, to see if it needed upgrading, it is 15 years old, even if it never sold. As I have improved my ability as an editor in the years since I wrote the book,  I passed an online editorial course,I saw some inconsitencies which needed correcting, also, I may change the cover.

When I began writing, I was told it would take 10 years to get recognition as a writer. Though I earned several awards, in my early years, I never gained recognition. In the last year, my works have come to the attention of several publishers, who have approacehed me, but the minimum publicity costs are out on my pocket.

They also find the mix of mystery, intrigue, and horror enticing.

I have pointed out, I intended to update the ms as I am a better editor now, than I was 15 years ago, this also appeale to the ladies at the company.

Another appealing aspect is I pointed out, I was planning a series of stories on the theme.

In 2012, I was in contact with several authors across the world, like me, they had earned an award, and we agreed earning an Award, means nothing, unless it is a major award such as the Booker Prize,the Pulitzer Prize, or the Orange Prize.

I think I should have been given my opportunity to shine, but living in the UK was a drawback, I couldn't travel to conventions in the USA. Another drawback is I can't afford publication costs, my writing has shown it gets noticed as I earned two awards in 2011.

An amusing thing happened at our local Asda last week. They sold Walker's KFC crisps. In itself, that is not unusal, what followed was, in my opinion.

They had two boxes of Walker's original chicken flavour, and two of the Zinger flavour. When I reurned on the Friday, the original flavour boxes were empty, while the Zinger boxes were half-full. I can understand why, while the original is delicious, the Zinger tastes as if it could take the enamel off your teeth

As a person with a pension, I can't help thinking will Labour repeat what Starmer did, and cut the Winter Heating Payment again?

The term "party" is now a misnomer when you talk about Labour. They are not a group with a similiar opinion, their leader, Andy Burnham, is un-elected, he got his position by the party forcing the sitting MP to stand down, so they could appoint a leader.

In this case, it definitely "The blind leading the blind," I wouldn't be in his place for all the gold in the world. Angela Rayner, the person who lead the revolt against Starmer, thought she'd step in, so she's not happy, and with so many members crossing to Reform UK, they could drop to the third party, not the opposition.

The dark afternoon reminds me of my time serving in Germany, during the late 1970's, when N.A.T.O. was on alert after the arrest of the Red Army Faction.

Being in the photographic trade, I went to work in the dark, I worked in a dark room, and went back to the block in the dark, if I was fortunate I saw daylight when I had my dinner. On the weekends, it was so cold and dark, we did nothing.

I can understand why Scandanavia has such a high suicide rate, it was bad enough for a few months, but to live all year in the dark.

The concept of N.A.T.O. was to protect Europe from an attack from Russia, back in the 1960's that was a threat, it hasn't been since the late 80's.

The threat these days is from the Middle East.

The closest base to Europe is in Cyprus. 

N.A,T,O. has always been only the UK and the USA.

What drew me to her, is her smile, once we got chatting it was easy to form a relaxing atmosphere, unlike one lady in France, Svitlana is not pushy, or assertive.

As Svitlana and I are in our 70s, it would be expecting too much to envisage our relationship lasting over a decade. That does give us plenty of time to for a strong bond of love. We already have a good beginning, as our online chats are extremely pleasant, and relaxed, if only brief.

We have made a few early plans for how we see our friendship   developing, Svitlana did suggest a sleepover, I would not have made the suggestion, even if I wished to spend the night with her.

The area around Didcot, where she lives, is full of interesting things, not least Wallinford Castle, where Queen Matilda stayed during her fight with King Stephen.

There are several parks, and areas of wildlife, which are nice for a romantic afternoon walk.

I am planning to be clear of my overdraft ASAP, I have given up hope that the sister of Pamela Olsted who involved me in one of her scams will refund my loan.

I am forced to make further cutbacks in my household spending, I have few personal needs, other than going to lunch at a friend's cafe in Redcliffe, Bristol.

One week she says she needs £20 to pay bank fees, as the loan is 90% clear, the next week it has dropped to 65%, this has been going on for over a month, and I have ended the payments.

I am hoping to be clear of my overdraft by January. If I can be in the clear, it will make life easier for Svitlana and I.

One of the things I wish to do first is to visit Svitlana in Didcot, we can't plan that until she returns from her trip to see her family in Ukraine. After a couple of day trips, I will consider buying a Senior Railcard, if we get on well in person, I have no doubt we will.
