My aim has never been for book sales, I knew from the first day - 15 years ago - I would not succeed as a writer.

My aim has always been to promote my short story readers via my blog.

With this aim in mind, I am going to attempt to raise the profile of the blog from the ground again.

In the last quarter - 3 months - I have been approached by several book promoters on Twitter, the first question I get asked is always, is your book on Amazon?

My reply is No; I did have books on there, but they never sold, so I took them down.

They always tell me, they can boost my sales, what they mean is they can boost their profiles; apparently, there is a lot of interest in my last book, where I don't know. The only interest I have aroused is from a group of promoters in Nigeria, these are no more than college kids with no experience. 

Is this all I am worth?

What to do with my talent for writing a short story is the question I ask myself each time I write?

I could put them for sale on Apple, as the site is my main source of sales. Not that making one or two sales a year is going to make a big change in my life.

I could write for the few readers this blog gets. I have many ideas for a story, but with few readers I have difficulty finding the urge to write.

A Stargate Scenario

Unknowingly, I may have joined Daniel Jackson from Stargate.

If you recall, he ascended into a superior being towards the end of the original series.

I think the same could have happened to me, coming from Yorkshire ascending to a superior being is expected.

Why do I think this?

This week, I've been approached on Zangi, by several ladies in the USA, who claim they saw me in a dream, and were instructed to contact me by God.

Of  course they are scammers, I am not that stupid to believe I could appear in the dream of a lady I don't know. There are some men who would, especially with the promise of a large amount of cash as the bait

A few minutes ago, on Twitter, I was accused of being a scammer because I didn't answer a phone call from a lady I didn't know until this morning.

What is peculiar is that she only contacted me today, and within minutes she was asking for a birthday present, I am sure she is the person doing the scam.

I will never know if the offer last night was genuine. The only thinj I can say with certainty is I was playing by rule 101 - if something looks too good to be true, it usaully is - the lady who is very attractive was more than willing to pay me a large fee to make her happy, and feel wanted online. I had no objections to doing it, it would have been my pleasure to do so with being paid.

It would have been good to know a lady wanted no more than a friendly chat, most of the girls I chat to are looking to hook up, and with me old, and disabled, they don't wish to go further, who can blame them?

Last night on Twitter, I was approached by an attractive lady who "claimed" she wished to be my "sugar mama," and help me out financially.

Her plan was to send me $10,000 immediately, and then $1,000 a week to keep her happy online, and to make her feel wanted.

My reply was "there is no need to pay me, I would be pleased to please you."

She insisted she wanted to help me financially, so I suggested she buy some of my eBooks from Apple, or my book from Amazon.

It is at this point her plan unravelled, big time, she said she had no idea how to pay for the goods, then claimed she had no credit card. How many people in the USA do not have a credit card these days?
