Can Andy Burnham do better than Keir Starmer?

The Labour Party could find themselves in a situation they have no way out of soon.
With the eminent resignation of Keir Starmer, the race for the leadership has Andy Burnham in front of Angela Rayner. The problem is Burnham doesn't have a seat in the House of Commons, they came up with solution of asking the sitting member, Josh Simons,to stand down for Burnham.
At the moment, the seat is held by Labour, but what is Burnham does not win back the seat? With how the people feel about Labour, it isn't a stretch to imagine the seat going from Labour. So, not only will they have lost the seat, but they will still be without a leader.
