What did the UK get from the EU?

Nothing compared to what you gave them

If you evaluate what the UK got from the EU, against what we gave, the disparity is scary beyond belief.
People forget from the end of WW1, until Brexit, the UK, and the USA had been bankrolling Germany, after disaster after disater followed, The German press is admitting they have a sitaution with immigration they cannot control, and their is an a crisi in thier economy. Here is a news flash, I could have tols you that when I was there, as far back as 1978 when they ioened their doors to people form Abyssinia. Within weeks, thee jobless people expected food, work, cars and more, yet they gave nothing to the economy. I have no doubt, the world shall blame Angela Merkel for the crumble of Germany, when she was only "the straw which broke the camel's back."
There is no doubt, the UK lost more than it gained by joining the EU, in my mind, while Germany gained more than it gave, what would you expect from Germany?
At the time of Brexit, a question was in the German press, "Do you want the UK to leave the EU?" The answer was a resounding - NO!
The question should have been "Do you wish the UK to be in the EU?"
The reason for the same rely to two different questions lies within the context of the question.
They do NOT want the UK in, they want the money the UK puts into the EU, no finer example of the waste the EU creates in that twice a month they move from Bonn to Brussels as they cannot decide where the HQ is.

Pre-Brexit UK

 A short HIstory Lesson

Our friends in Europe
The Labour voters, and anti-Brexit voters, go on about our friends in Europe, who are they?

France surrenderd in two world wars without fighitng, have not forgot a battle they lost venturies before called Agincourt, when English bowmen routed the best France had to offer.
Spain permitted Germany to travel through inhindered, thus giving access to North Africa. Our fishermen having been fighting for our right to fish our waters since before the 60's, and don't forget England best the Spanish Armada. More than anyting which angered the Spanish was the increasin cheap holidays from the late 1970's, it brought wealth, but also the cheap alcohol caused lots of troubles for the plolice.
I won't mention Belgium as they are so insignificant.
My view on Switzerland is the same as Sweden, little more than a waste of space.
Austria is a lovely country, and the people we met were nice, but it is really very pro-German.
I can't say a lot about Portugal, their policy to the UK was slightly better than to Germany, both sides could use the country, but had to pay fort he privilige; the difference being Germany had to pay as soon as possible, whereas the UK could pay as and when we can afford to.

As you see, the UK has no friends in Europe. If you wish to travel further, since the 1970s we've been at war with Iceland over fishing tights, back then it was known as "The Cod War."
When Britain had her back to the wall after Dunkirk, who cane to our rescue, it was the Empire, and the USA.
People who blame Brexit for business failures, are finding an easy excuse for bad business deals. A good example is recently a firm had to lay-off hundreds of workes, why? The owners had been shifted pension funds to rebuild Scunthorpe United football club.
Another example is the Honda plant at Swindon which had to lay workers off, again Brexit got the blame, when the blame was ttally in the Hands of Honda management who wrongly assumed their would be a boom for electric cars.

People wrongly say, if it hadn'r been for foriegn flying units the UK would have fallen; it is true, we're aided by massed pilots from Europe, but they were not here to defend the UK; they were to fight Germany.

I am open to Requests for HIndi DVD Requests

 I have a small selection

                                                      A Hindi DVD Request

This morning, I was able to aid an eBay buyer with his request, parially.

He asked for a particular verssion of a film, while I didn't have the particular company he wanted, Shemaroo, I did have another copy for sale,

If you have any requests for Hindi films, I have a selection on eBay, and more I haven't added yet, as sales are slow; so, please feel free to ask what I can offer.

Most of my selection is pre-Bollywood (1960 - 1990)

Why rejoin the EU?

 Starmer has lost the plot

Before we proceed, we need to verify one thing; did Starmer have a plot, other than appeasing the BLM, and the Muslim Brotherhood?
The answer to the question is NO!
Even areas such as Liverpool, once the heart of Labour support turned against him. The cards were on the table, even as far back as the previous election, when miners in Derbyshire turned from Labour.
At the time the EU is falling apart, with France, Germany, and now Austria voting to leave, Starmer wants the UK to apply to rejoin, what for?

I am hoping to write again

 Writing on my Blog

The 2025 Plan

For the next few months, I decided on a plan if I write.
Any writing I do will be for my blog; you could say, if you don't publish your story it won't sell, true.
However, I have more opportunities to get readers for my writing on here, than hoping to sell an eBook. My last eBook sale was in June last year; unless I can amass $10, I won't see a payment from Draft2Digital, what I have to gain by putting eBooks there?

An Objective view of the Nagin series

 Shraddha Kapoor

                                                          Sridevi

I have to admire Shraddha Kapoor as she takes on the role of Nagin, the shapeshfting Godess, why?

This is a role her aunt, Sridevi, made her own in the late 70's, comparrison are going to be hard to avoid, both from being family, and being similiar in appearance.

I aim to be able to give an objective view on the series, as I have most of the series on DVD, including the original 1954 version; there you go Harry Potter fans, one of the characters J.K. Rowling uses is from a Hindi movie older than your grandparents. There are some films that use Nagin, yet are not connected, I had one, it was terrible, even that Akshay Kumar was in it.

I am going to judge the films on the technology available at the time; I know the older rims won't stand up to modern scruting, yet, one film in the late 80's is so bad, even Rekha - one of my Bollywood favourites can't save it - having Rishi Kapoor in didn't help, but it isn't his fault the film is this bad.

Rishi appears in another version with Sridevi.

The earliest version has another of my favourite ladies from the early cinema of India in, she is Vyjayanthimala, who despite being in her late 80's is still considered a beauty.

To end this article, I will say, I have no intention of watching the Nagin series brought out in 2017, why?

I cannot see how you can turn an excellent film into a series of over 100 1/2 hour shows, and keep true to the story, let alone destroy the meaning.
