Nigel Farage

 Clacton-on-the-sea

                                                                                         The easy chair

Nigel Farage's appointment as the MP for Clacton-on-the-sea is as our friend in the USA would say is a "shoe-in," what does that mean? The term means it was an easy fit, why was Clacton so easy?

Put in relative terms, he has NO contest as nobody wanted the seat. Clacton is one of the those places people have heard of, but without a map they have no idea of its location.

It is situated Northwest of Colchester, on the Suffolk coast. Clacton's main role was a holiday venue for mill, and factory workers from London in the 18th, and 19th centuries.

Clacton's main celebrity is band leader Ivy Benson.

To take the MP role at Clacton was probably the easiest thing Farage could have done, nobody wants it; what does that say about his leadership qualities, if he felt the only way to get bet a seat was to challenge for one nobody wants?
