She will always be with us in spirit, but the house is empty without her love, and warmth, even though she was unable to stand for most of her last year; she never stopped laughing, joking, and making plans.

The things to remeber here are anyone can make a banner to post online, and claim they are someone they are not. If you are paying a person to promote your work, you are out-of-pocket before you start. A true publisher will give you an advance on how they feel your book will sell. Most of the people "claiming" to be promoters are in Nigeria - the SCAM capital - they claim to have a degree, but the highest ranked University in the country is ranked lower than 800, making it tlower than a high school in the USA.

When an attractive lady 20 years, or more, younger approaches me on either Facebook, or Twitter, I smell a scam attempt, and SCAMBUSTER is rarely wrong.
Last years, actress Gal Gadot (Wonderwoman) tried to get me to buy her chidren a $100 X-box game card. That is one reason I stopped supporting Israel.
Why write if Amazon give your work away?
The only difference between Piracy, and Kindle Unlimited is you are giving the stories away with Kindle Unlimited.
Years ago, I entered one of my eBook selection in a Kindle Free Weekend, in the hope it may gain sales, it bombed, and never recovered.
I have had eBooks on Amazon for over a decade, my bestseller on the site has only sold 20 copies in that time, that is because twice it sold seven copies in one weekend.
The Bengal Issue
For several months, I classed my DVDs from India as Hindi, as that is the main language spoken. I recently found, I have several from other regions, such as Bengal, Punjab, and Tamil.
Last year, I paid for a surprise pack of Bengal DVDs from a seller on eBay. Surprise is the word, on opening the package, I noticed a film from Spain, and one from Russia. The seller had no idea I'd been to Russia so I could spot Coptic writing.
The movie I am selling - Bibhas - is from Bengal.
I don't check to see which region a film comes from, that is not of interest to me; I've seen some lousy films from Mumbai, and some good ones from Chennai. The cast matters, and so does the story.

With the rush of arranging my wife's cremation over, I finf myself with time on my hands.
I am going to try to use the time to write more stories, if only to occupy my mind, and keep it active.

This morning, I was contacted on WhatsApp by an attractive young lady.
It was the usual procedure, she asked where I lived, then said she lives in Bristol too.
I've read those words, as often as "Where can I buy your books?"
She could be genuine, but, I am almost certain it is the beginning of an attemted SCAM.
After the goldrush
It was nice to see for a short while the blog had over 1,000 readers, I was under no illusion the situation would last long, and it has not. Today, it is back to it's usual, less than 100 readers - is it worth writing?
Losing the use of Facebook has impacted the readers, but not a lot.

For reasons beyond my comprehension, the blog this week is thriving without the help of Facebook.
If I blogged about what the trend is I could understand why, but that has never - nor will ever - be my style, perhaps the reason behind the success is I don't keep writing about what is in the news, who knows?
I am pleased my sanity is relatively secure
With passing of my wife last month, I have questioned my sanity more often than usual, this week I thought I had lost two orders on eBay. By lost, I mean, I knew I had the discs, but I couldn't recall where I'd put them. I was on the point of cancelling the orders, when I found the sets this morning.

For the last month, I have been struggling to get readers for the blog, I checked a few moments ago (0400 - Feb 23rd), to find, apparently in the last 24 hours there have been over 1,000 readers, and this without Facebook.

Today's 7 readers in Iran is the most readers I have had in the Middle East, despite my many blogs about Israel. The only other readers from the area were 4 readers in Palestine, last June.
I have no expectations
Being polite, I will say thank you reposting a Twitter tweet for me, beyond that I don't expect anything as I've had several book links reposted, with no results. Not that I expected any sales.
I earned the award on the post in 2012, which was the last time I sold eBooks in quantity. I did consider updating the editing of the ebook - The Chronicles of Mark Johnson - which earned the award, as I have improved in that area, but as it has not sold, what would be the point?
Bath Short Story Award
This month, I am considering entering the Bath Short Story Award, my aim is to write a 2,000 word short story in under two weeks.
Years ago, when I thought the readers would enjoy my stories, I could write a 3,500 word short story in around 3 hours, now, things have altered' mainly, I lack the confidence to have the belief in my ability as a writer.
Missing DVDs
You could put my dilemna down to losing my wife last month, but issue of the missing DVDs arouse this week.
Late last week, I had orders for some of my DVDs on eBay, I was going to wait until after the weekend to post the orders, but I have spent the last three days searching, and cannot find the discs; I know I didn't send them, but I can't find them; and, I've been through my selections several times.

I am not allowed to post to Facebook.
Probable Causes
I think the main cause of my drop off is not because of Facebook, but I rarely post about what is Trending, I never have.
I am not denying losing Facebook has not affected the reader,s but I had hardly any notice there in the beginning.
Some of my posts can be considered controversial, but I am not paid to write, so I write what I wish.
A Publisher
If you are fortunate to get a writing contract with a publisher, they will give you an advance. This is a loan which is based on what they think your book sales will be, which is why it is hard, if not impossible, for an Indie Writer like me to get anywhwere, no matter if I earned an award, years ago.
Anyne asking you to pay them is trying to SCAM you. I am talking from experience, as I was so desperate last year, I fell for a scam. I have no excuse for falling for the scam, only to say, after 16 years of struggle, I was desperate enough to believe someone thought my writing had value.

I am considering entering the Bath Short Story Award writing contest this month. I have two weeks to write a short story of less than 2,500 words with a young adult theme.
At one time, I entered so many contests, but got nowhere, I lost track of which I had entered. Writing a story with a YA theme is not an issue for me; I have written several. I wonder if the length will be the problem?
Writing Contest
Several years ago, I entered the Bristol Short Story Contest, but withdrew my application as I saw 3 of the 4 judges were looking for stories with a theme from Asia. I am considering expanding a story I wrote, partly set in India into a possible series. This project is depending on if the opening book sells.
I am even considering entering a writing contest this year.
Facebook Ban
This week, I was banned from using my Facebook account as one of the links I posted on my page went against their rules; naturally, I asked for a review of the case. Years ago, a jealous writer I used to know said she would get FB to block my account, at the time, I pleaded with her to change her mind. Now, if my account is deleted it will have no effect, other than to cut my blog readerr figures. The only contact I have on Fb was with my family, and we are now in a WhatsApp group, so that is no loss to me.
The Truth be told, if I get a ban it will save me from deleting the account; I had over 140 "followers," mainly from when I was on a writing site based in Germany, that was over a decade ago.

Today, I got my Facebook account blocked for linking to a site which is selling items online.
I am not worried, the only contacts I have thre, are my family, and we're in a WhatsApp group.
The blog has never had any readers on FB, so I have nothing to lose.

Two weeks before my wife passed away, last month, we agreed to sponsor a guide dog, so a person with limited sight could have some life.
This week, I decided any sales I get from eBay will include a donation to the charity, Guide dogs for the Blind.

In Hollywood, ther are two curses I would have loved to challenge.
The first goes back to the 1920;s when Rudolph Valentino bought a ring while filming the movie, The Sheik. The man who sold it, warned Rudolph of a curse attached to the ring. Months later, Ridolph dies from a perforated ulcer, at the ahe of 31, At his funeral, his wife, Pola Negri, took the ring off his finger, and her career in fims went from bad to worse. She died at the age of 80.
The thing to remember is Rudolph was a lading man in an era before stuntmen were employed, so any bump, ot knock could have caused the ulcer. I have a lump on my kidney, caused by an accident 50 years ago. Most actors, and actresses go through a drought, add to that Pola was a star of silent era, when talkies were they new age.
The other curse really is too silly to be considered anything other than a joke. This involves the doll in The Conjuring series, which is supposed to move from room-to-room. This is a simple xase of someone forgetting where they put the doll.
There are some dolls that do creep me out.
There are dolls made with china faces which are so good they appear real, they do give me the shivers.
Sugar Daddy
Each week on Facebook, I get approached by young ladies who think I get aroused by large breasts. In most of these cases, the girls do nothing for me; they are either after a father figure, or a sugar daddy; I am neither. I have nothing against chatting to them, or how they have to earn a wage, but it isn't my thing.
I did chat to a young lady in the Ukranie who asked if she could call me father, because of my age.
The giveaway to this being a syndicate of girls, they use the same terminology as they copy/paste the posts.

You may not believe it, there is a way to get me writing again.
It isn't through bullying by promters on Twitter, having read many posts trying to get me to start again;I have to say I have NO FAITH in these people,why?
As a freelance editor, I noticed masses of bad grammar, and spelling errors, not to mention a lot of what they wrote is illegible; I can only pick the bones out of a jumble.
The way to restart my writing is for me to see some sales, the financial aspect is of no concern to me, as a storyteller being read is what mattered.
You may conider it strange that the money I earn is not important to me; when I started, 16 years ago, I knew I would never earn a lot from writing. In my best year, 2012, I earned not enough for a cup of coffee a week.
The only words that will help me are "I read your book, and loved it."

Today, we part with my lovely wife's body, in a few hours she will be cremated, and her eartthly form will no loger be with is, Linda, my love, your spirt, and the joy you gave will be with us forever.
