Be Careful

If like me, you are on a low income, i.e. you are unemployed, on benefits, or a pensioner BE AWARE there is a SCAM going around.

You may be sent a letter, or an email saying you can claim a £350 heating refund; it is a SCAM.

The email looks genuine, and it is appears real, until you get to the end. If you were being sent a refund, the government would send a letter of confirmation. 

The giveaway in the email is they ask for your 3-digit code for your bank card, this gives permission for people to take money from your account, not pay it in. All you need to pay in is the sort code, and account details
