Or am I desperate?
The Literary Agent
Yesterday, I sent the opening chapter of my romance - Untold Truths - to a Literary Agent in London.
How do I know it isn't a scam?
I approached the lady, she has an official web page, she didn't ask for money up front; agents get their fees from a sales %. She asked for my writing profile, and a list of titles which I saw as like my story, all the things an agent would do.
Why London, not the USA?
Experience has taught me, if an agent in the USA sees I am in the UK, they will not bother going further, many don't even send a rejection email.
What do I expect?
I don't expect anything, other than another rejection email. I think I am either crazy, or desperate, however, my friend Julia in Seattle does not. Julia has been the person who has stood by me for the last 13 years, since the time she asked if she could edit my award-winning book - The Chronicles of Mark Johnson - she has also aided m in other projects during our friendship.
