You may wonder how I came back so quick from break-up of my friendship with a lady who "claimed" to live in Bristol?

The truth is I was never convinced she was interested in me, unlike my friend, Svitlana (shown here), who is definitely interested in meeting me.

I am not upset at the break-up, I am relieved as it was getting boring. Each week, I'd read the same excuses not to meet me, it didn't take long to realise it was going nowhere fast, but I hoped she'd prove me wrong - she didn't.

I told her I had added my profile to three Granny Dating apps two weeks ago, in reality, she lost me well before the disclosure

I am from Yorkshire.

I have lived in the Bristol area since 1963, and in Bristol since 1983, when I got married.

My wife of 38 years died in January, 2025.

I am romantic, and believe in love.

I can cook, I enjoy gardening, growing herbs, walking by the sea, and in the woods listening to nature.

I am teetotal, partially by choice.

I am disabled, but I can walk, if slowly. My disability is a torn tendon, the short version of the injury is I got it playing sports in the Royal Air Force in 1974. For years, I knew it was there, but it wasn't an issue, until one rainy July day in 2011, when the tendon tore for good.

After leaving the RAF, I worked for Bristol City Council for 15 years in the museums.

My music tastes are varied, ranging from classical to jazz of the 50s, and from folk to rockabilly.
