Not everyone enjoys a musical

On my eBay page, you will find a lot of films with Anil Kapoor in; the reason for this is I thought he was like his namesakes Raj Kapoor, and Shashi Kapoor, actors I enjoy watching. He is more akin to their brother Shammi Kapoor, once considered the Elvis Presley of India.

You may wonder why I bought the films, if I don't like the lead actor?

I bought then as many feature actresses such as Madhuri Dixit, and Aruna Irani who I enjoy watching, but I soon realised the stories in Anil's films are like those of Salman Khan, geared to his dancing ability; the same as Shammi's were geared to his singing ability. Anil isn't the member of the Kapoor clan I can't watch, I can't stand to watch Rishi Kapoor either, which is a shame as he often appeared with one of my favourite actresses, Reena Roy.

Thirty tears ago, when the term Bollywood was first used; there were three young actors who came to the fore; they are Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan.

While Shah Rukh, and Aamir have gone on to be stars; Salman has slipped into obscurity appearing regularly on shows such as Koffee with Karan, and The Kapil Sharma Show. To give the reader some perspective, these shows are more akin with actors such as Reena Roy, Bindu Desai, Aruna Irani, and other stars of a forgotten era in the Cinema in India.

Yes, the man who once had the power to ban a producer to doing films in South India, is no so disliked he appears in the Indian version of I'm a Celebrity.

What went wrong?

The problem with Salman's films is that; they were films based on his character, which usually meant lots of extravagant sets, and singing, but lacking a story.
