Of all things to chat about, last night Svitlana and I spent time talking about old school cartoons.

My favourite is Top Cat, or Yogi Bear. I enjoy King Julian, Bravestarr, and the original Carmen Sandiego series too. The new Carmen Sandiego series did little for me, the style of art I found unpleasant, nobody has a pointed chin

A post on Twitter today reminded me of my most beloved cartoon series, Top Cat.

Artists these days are nothing compared to the Old School artists, as late as the 1970's artists had to draw each frame, now it is all CGI.

The reason they only made one series is the actor who voiced Benny, the same man who played Doberman in The Phil Silvers Show, died the year after the series aired, and Hanna Barbera didn't want to go with a new voice.

Last night, I found I had misplaced one of my favourite cartoon series, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?

Though my friend in Whitchurch and I had a disagreement last night,I thought he parted on good terms, or so I thought. Our last chat was about old fashioned cartoons, such as Top Cat. I refer the older cartoon to the modern series on Netflix.

I know I wouldn't have sold the series on eBay, as the collection is one of my favourite collections

Apparently during the filming of A Foreign Affair, Jean Arthur argued with Marlene Dietrich over scene-stealing.

Let us view the scene, Jean Arthur was a moderately respected actress in the USA, few people can recall her films without Google, even then she is recalled as appearing with somebody. Marlene Dietrich is a name few movie watchers of the 40s - 60s can recall with ease.

In the cinema of the 30s to the 60s, there were few names more known, than Marlene Dietrich

I knew i had them and I knew I hadn't sold the discs on eBay as they're one of my favourite cartoon series
