A rising blog

A few days ago, I was on the verge of closing the blog, and ending the writing stage of my life, on a downer.

At that time, the blog was seeing around 50 readers for a day, despite having five or six posts a day posted. I don't expect the reader figures to maintain the level for this week, but so far the average reader per post figure has risen from 5 to 25.

I cannot attribute the rise to blogging on a trend, that is something I do if the trend is something I have an interest in such as Israel; but I do NOT trend blog to boost my readers as some bloggers do.

Blogging on the trending subjects is the only way to make the blog pay, as it is the only way to gain the thousands of readers needed.

If the blog is going to succeed, I want it to succeed on my writing ability, and my ability to entertain, not because I write about a trend; there are plenty of bloggers to read if that is what you desire.
