Kill or Cure
From Horfield to Hartcliffe
Several years ago, the family suffered a house fire, and was relocated from Horfield, North Bristol, to Hartcliffe, South Bristol.
At first it appeared a dream, as we could now get a doctor's apointment with a few days, rather than waiting almost a month because of the amount of coloured, Asian, or Polish people clogging the surgery with minor ailments most of us would cure at home.
Things changed when the good doctor in Hartcliffe retired, now you can't get an appointment, you get put on a waiting list for 30 minutes, and when you do get though you are told everyone is busy, call back tomorrow.
If that isn't bad enough, shortly after we were rehoused, we requested our medical records be transferred, they never arrived, the reply we had was they must be lost in the server. No apology for the error, no sense of urgency to retrieve the files; 30 years of medical history in the bin
