Living with Terrorism

  Army of Occupation

To this day, people, argue about the way the British Army reacted in the withdrawal from Aden in 1967.
While some of their language was derogatory, I cannot, and will not condemn the actions of their leader.
Unless you have lived in a state of constant attack, you are in no position to cast blame. Ask any service personnel from any war, from Aden to the withdrawal from Indo-China, and you'll get the same answer.
Other than living in a world of terrorism, I served in Germany in the months after the Red Army Faction were put in jail, and I served in Ireland during "The Troubles." While I was serving, I had friends who served in Aden, and Cyprus, they said the same thing, you never knew who to trust.
No matter what age you are talking about, from the Mayan era, to the modern era, an Army of Occupation is always under threat.
