Why Bother?
One way I eased my mental strain was not to worry about not selling my eBooks.
Things were not too bad at Draft2Digital, then they undertook a lending library project, that slowed the royalties because the users pay the library to read the eBook, the library pays D2D for the goods, but unless the book sells well, the writer sees nothing. The final nail in the coffin came two years ago, when they joined with Smashwords, from the start, I thought Smashwords was a scam. I have read of writers being asked if a sequel is planned for a story, for which they have no sales record; I can vouch for this, as I had two requests
