Why won't Labour stop the boats?

                                              A desperate Labour ploy

It wasn't a desperate ploy from Labour to ask the member for Makerfield to stand down, to be replaced by Andy Burnham. They had nothing to lose, at the last election they almost lost the seat to Reform UK. They kept the seat by 1%.

If they lost the seat, and have no faith in Keir Starmer, they'll be running around like a "headless chicken." Burnham was as readers in the USA would say "a shoe-in," meaning an easy fit. His opposition for leader was either Angela Rayner, guilty of tax evasion, or the gormless David Lammy, who is a national disgrace.

If they stop the boats, this will kill the only people who are likely to vote Labour, even that premise has worn thin, as Starmer has gone back on the promises he made to the Muslims to win the last election
