My plan for next week

 Asda

Latino Street Bites

Flavours of Chile
After, hopefully getting a loan refund on Tuesday, which will be the end of a scam I felll for, last November. I can rebuild my life with less stress, however the physical toll of walking to Whitchurch, rather than getting a bus to Bedminster will linger. I had to walk to Whitchurch as the Asda in Bedminster doesn't always have the Apple gift cards.
One thing I am looking forward to is having lunch twice a week in my friend's cafe, in the undercroft of St. Mary's Church in Redcliffe. I was such a regular, when I didn't turn up for weeks, I was missed.
The great relief, other than not having to keep walking to Whitchurch for an Apple card, is if I get the money back, I can chat to my friend, Svitlana for longer periods

What happened next?

 Escape from Alcatraz

Butch and Sundance

No Escape
There is no doubt Frank Miller, and the Anglin brothers escaoed from Alcatraz, but like Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid there is no record of them in later life.
My opinion is the got carried away by the tide under the Golden Gate Bridge. One theory I had was they were eaten by the Great White sharks that inhabit the waters near the bridge.
An equally plausible theory is the were so tired after the escape, they had no energy to fight the tide. They had hauked the raft up a ladder, across the roof, down the other side, and onto the beach. Then they had to inflate it, even using a makeshift pump, it takes energy, which they had ran out of.
In 2017, a letter was posted by a person "claiming" to be Frank Miller, you have to take this with a large dose of salt. The question you need to ask is if he had survived, why did he wait so long to send his letter, when an escape from a prison built to be unescapable would have made him a hero in the gangster world?
Ok, he was dying, but what did he have to gain? He was hardly clearing his consience.
Another aspect you need to consider, these men were hardened criminals, I doubt they could have stayed out of the life of crime for long

The Physical toll

 Walking back to Happiness

Asda

Walking back to Happiness
The physical toll of the ongoing scam is shown above.
I have two choices, walk to Asda, in Whitchurch, or catch the bus to Bedminster.
If I go to Whitchurch, as the bus is an hourly service, I usually walk both ways, the issue here is being disabled this walk takes a heavy toll on my injured left achilles tendon. Also, I have a broken toe on my right foot, which gets painful if I walk too much.
At the moment, I can't afford the bus fare to Bedminster, so another day passes with no sign of the refund
