This is the story of two years in the life of Alan Place, and of his birthdays between from the ages of 68 - 70.
I spent my 68th birthday mourning the loss of my wife of 38 years, she died in January, 2025.
My 69th birthday was monumental for me, it was the first complete year without my wife, Linda.
This birthday, I hope will be the first of many to share with my friend, Svitalana, who lives in Didcot, Oxfordshire.
The family know no lady can take the place of their mother in my heart, but they still wish me to find another lady to have a relationship with.
