The film The Red Tent is about the failed attempt to cross the Arctic by ballon in the airship Italia. The expedition was set up in Italy, as the name suggests, and after several accidents, was doomed to fail, leaving the crew stranded for months.

The movie is about the conscience of the pilot, played by Peter Finch, when he got back after leaving the others behind. He did this as the pilot of the rescue plane, played by Hardy Kruger, was told he had to bring the captain back. Sean Connery played the role of Roald Ammundsen who died trying to land on the ice.

I know this is my opinion, I think insignifant describes Claudia Cardinale well, I would rather watch Gina Lollobrigida. To me, Gina has class, and a sex appeal that Claudia could only dream about
