Franchot Tone was involved in two love triangles in real life, this triangle is a Jean Harlow movie featuring Cary Grant. In this film she falls who falls for Franchot, believing he is a Lord, as he's driving a borrowed Rolls Royce, when she finds out he is not a Lord, she decided to stay with him.
After he is shot, and she goes to jail, she decides to go to France to find the killer, while there she falls for an airman played by Cary Grant
