Character is more impressive than beauty

 Hollywood Glamour

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

My Blonde Bombshell
It may appear I have a "thing" for blonde actresses, that is not true. Two of the ladies I consider most attractive in Hollywood, were not blondes, Jane Russell, and Ava Gardner. Then you have Myrna Loy, who was a bit like Kay Francis, beautiful to look at, and dress, but a lightweight actress, unlike Jean Harlow, Marlene Dietrich , or Mae West. Other non-blondes I enjoy watching include Gina Lollobigida, Paulette Goddard, Carolyn Jones, and Dame Diana Rigg to name a few.
I didn't mention Marilyn Munroe as I have no opinion either way. She was attractive, but I didn't like her films. I didn't mention Brigette Bardot as I didn't enjoy har films, other than Viva Maria with Jeanne Moreau,  I watched the film for Jeanne, more than than Brigette, For me, BB got more attractive as she aged, and the attention was on her, not her breasts. I didn't mention Sophia Loren, there are few men who don't consider her a beauty, even now.
Some people class Audrey Hepburn and Claudia Cardinale as attractive, as they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."  I class both as unattractive, and lightweight in acting. Claudia almost caused a film to be shut down - The red tent - there are othes ladies, my list is endless, and the debate over beauty is NEVER ended.
One blonde I can end on is Mamie van Doren, I can only say I heard her name in passing, without using Google, I cannot name a film she was in.

Hollywood Glamour

 Personal Opinion

Ava Gardner
Jane Russell
As they say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," to me, none can comapre with either Ava Gardner, or Jane Russell.
Sophia Loren was beautiful, but when you are married to a top director, it is hard not too look gorgeous.
I never rated Marilyn Munroe, or the young Bardot.
There is no doubt Elizabeth Taylor was beautiful. I prefered Ava, or Jane, as they had a sexy attitude too, I like a lady who knows what she wants, and isn't affraid to ask for it.
I was viewing a post on Twitter, a few minutes ago, I know beauty is personal, but I never liked Lucille Ball.
A lot of people like Claudia Cardinale, I am not one. She was all breasts, her acting was medicore at best, I much prefered Gina Lollobrigida. Claudia almost caused a film to be shut down, while filming The Red Balloon, her boyfreind producer demanded a larget role for her in the film. The director said NO!
Her role was as the imaginary lover of one of the crew, she was only in the film, so it could be sold to Italy.
One reason I didn't like the early films of Bardot, Audrey Hepburn, or Claudia, is I didn't like the light comedy films they were in

Indian Beauty

 Rani Mukerji

I will admit, I am a fan of Rani Mukerji, I think she is both an attractive lady, and a very good actress. Though, like many others, Rani never gets a chance to shine as Bollywood is sexist.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" as the proverb says. I can't disagree with the adage. While some things can change over time, a good bone structure, and care of your skin is vital.
Take a look at the two ladies here, they are about the same age, early 50's, yet look so different, not long ago, Aishwarya Rai
(below) was considered one of the most attractive actresses in India. A situation aided by being runner-up in Miss India (1991), and being crowned Miss World (1994).
An interesting point here, Aishwarya's aunt, Nutan, was Miss India in 1952.
                                          Aishwarya Rai

A main reason for Aishwarya's drop in the glamour stakes could be her ongoing row with her mother-in-law, Jaya Bachchan which caused her to leave their house last year. She is still attractive, but the battles with Jaya have taken their toll this year.

BBW ladies

 Large Breasts

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
In my view, many ladies classed as BBW are mislabeeld by a sexist attitude which passed a long time ago.
When you read the title BBW - Big Beautiful Women - you imagine a lady with huge breasts, some are. What you see most often is a lady with an ample figure wnose breasts are suited to her body frame.
I admit, some ladies do have large breasts which do NOT suit their frames, and these ladies worry me, as having HUGE breasts on a smaller frame is a health risk. These ladies forget, the heart is a muscle, and putting too much strain on an area will result in a tear; the dofference being a torn heart muscle is a killer. I recall the story of a sex actress who, in oredr to compete with younger girls, kept getting breast enlargments, until one day, she tripped and torn her heart muscle. She was dead before she hit the floor.

When you are in love with a beautiful woman

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Linda

Svitlana
Two stunning ladies
I consider myself to be fortunate to love, and be loved by two ladies I class as beautiful. Looks aren't everything, both my late wife, Linda, who passed away in January, 2025, and my new lady friend, Svitlana have a lovely personality, that is what matters most to me.
I didn't intend to have another relationship after my wife's death, I added my profile to a dating app to clear a question in my mind, and from the get-go, Svitlana, and I, hit it off.
