In November 2025, I will start my recovery from the ruins of chatting to a person, who "claimed" to live close to me in Bristol, UK. The effects of her scam went beyond financial, I was so exhausted from the strain of walking twice to possibly meet her, in September, I fell in the street, and was taken to hospital.

Something good did come out of the period I was in contact with her, at the time I ended our business association, I added my name to two Mature Dating apps, and found, to my suprise, ladies do find me attractive. One of the ladies, who lives in Didcot has taken great interest in me in the last four months, and is keen to meet.

After my last encounter, I am being cautious, and preparing myself for a planned meeting, not to happen. If this falls through, I probably won't seek a romantic partner again

If you watch documentaries on Yorkshire, you could think the only place of interest is York. There are many places in Yorkshire with interesting histories, such as Scarborough, a lovely fishing port, Whitby, the home of Captain James Cook, and the birthplace of Dracula. Saltburn-on-the-sea with its royal connections.

If you are a horse racing fan, you can visit either Doncaster or Redcar. Doncaster has a famous connection to soccer, it has the largest pitch area.

For fans of history, a famous battle was fought on the outskirts of Northallerton during the reign of King Stephen, an era known as "The Anarchy," for the wars with his cousin Princess Matilda

My beautiful friend Svitlana is not put off by knowing I now have several scars from my recent accident, she says scars make a man look rugged.

Her love this week has been fundemental my mental health remaining steady, if I didn't have our online chat each night I would have little to look forward to after being involved in a scam by Pamela Olsted for several months.

We plan to meet after she has returned from a trip to see relatives in Ukraine, I had hoped to see her by my birthday in two weeks, but there is no rush.

Last night, I severed ties with Pamela Olsted, and the person "claiming" to be her sister, after an accident caused by their demand for Apple gif cards, ended with me spending the night in Southmead Hospital, Bristol.

They claimed they would refund my loan, but for the first mention, i suspected it was another scam, until last night, I hoped I would get the money, now I don't care. I am putting this episode behind me, and moving on with my relationship with Svitlana, my friend in Didcot, Oxfordshire, who does care about me

It wouldn't suprise me if the release of the stress I have been under for the most of the last year causes a mental breakdown. The only good thing about the last 10 months, is being able to chat online with my friend, Svitlana, in Didcot, Oxfordshire. To answer the question, I would not leave Svitlana, unless she decided she didn't wish to be my lady friend in Oxfordshire. This is something, she has made clear, she has no intention to do.

Neither of us hoped to find romance at our ages, we're in our 70's. I am 70 in October, and Svitlana is 74. Yet, we got on so well with our online chats, we have bonded, and once my finances are more settled, we plan to meet in Didcot, where she lives.

Today will begin the end of my time in hell. In November, 2025, I was contacted on Twitter, and later via WhatsApp by a lady calling herself Clara Kent, she turned out to be scammer Pamela Olsted.

By various means, she convinced me she cared for me, when all she wanted was my money. I was for a short period, under the impression she lived near me in Bristol. I stayed in contact, to give her the opportunity to prove she lived here, but it was soon clear she didn't.

By July, 2026, I had put her out of my mind, and resigned myself to losing the money I sent her, despite her saying she would refund me at some time. In September, 2026, her sister said she would repay the money owed to me, today, I am hoping this will happen.

I can finally put Pamela, and her family, out of my mind, and concentrate on meeting my friend   Svitlana in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Svitlana and I made contact on SoulmateMeets, and have continued our friendship on Charming Talks, we got on well from our first chat.

On a more personal note, today I will be going into hospital to have a lump removed from my neck.

I can't help thinking, do I mean something to my friend, Svitlana, or am I only another customer on a chat site to her?

The time to meet my lady friend in Oxfordshire is approaching, she has a holiday booked to return to the Ukraine this month. On her return, I am hoping to meet her by my birthday in mid-October.

Svitlana did mention a sleepover, this would benefit us in many ways. We wouldn't need worry about me catching the train back to Bristol from Didcot on the same day.

It would also give us more time to get to know each other, though she suggested the idea, I said we should meet a few times, to see if we get on as well in peson as we do online

For now, I am going to delay buying a Senior Railcard, until I have seen my friend in Oxfordshire a few times, to see if we gel in person as well as we do online.

I consider myself to be fortunate to love, and be loved by two ladies I class as beautiful. Looks aren't everything, both my late wife, Linda, who passed away in January, 2025, and my new lady friend, Svitlana have a lovely personality, that is what matters most to me.

My friend, and lover, Svitlana and I plan to meet in Didcot soon. A day out I would like is to visit Wallingford Castle, which is only 25 minutes away. This is the castle where Empress Matilda was imprissoned during the 20-year-period, known as the anarchy. This was a war of succession between Matilada, and her cousin, Stephen, caused by the death at sea of the righttful heir to the throne.

I made the error last night, of looking for Walsingham, which is a long way off on the Norfolk coast. I used to know a lady in nearby Fakenham, many years ago, she was my BFF, until she got married. We were friends for over 12 years, and I visited her twice during the time.
